ABOUT SIMRON

Picture
Favorite Children’s Book:
Where the Sidewalk Ends, by Shel Silverstein

Simron (Simmy) ties the collaborative together, coordinating day-today activity so that Oakland Starting Smart and Strong partners can work together in service of Oakland’s youngest children and their families. She’s excited to be using her strengths in organizing, communications, and content creation to uplift a community that she cares deeply about.

Prior to joining Oakland Starting Smart and Strong, Simmy worked in the tech / start up industry for 7+ years. She’s also a small business owner, and she’s currently finishing a degree in Psychology at San Francisco State.

A born problem-solver, Simmy is passionate about social justice and access to education. In her spare time, she enjoys creating digital art and traveling.
