*Updated 11/20/2024*
Election Day is just around the corner on November 5th! We reached out to candidates running for office to represent Oakland - City Council, Oakland Unified School Board, City Attorney, and Alameda County Board of Supervisors - and asked them to complete a questionnaire about their experience and views on Oakland’s early childhood ecosystem. We received 17 responses from 41 candidates.

*As of 11/20/2024*
While some races have been called the San Francisco Chronicle, Oakland is still finalizing its election results. Called races include:
  • City Council
    • At-Large: Rowena Brown*
    • District 1: Zac Unger*
    • District 3: Carroll Fife*
    • District 5: Noel Gallo*
    • District 7: Ken Houston*
  • City Attorney: Ryan Richardson*
*called by San Francisco Chronicle as of 11/20/2024

We’re sharing candidate responses as a resource to help our community to make informed decisions as voters, and to help set the stage for follow-up meetings and advocacy after the elections are over.
